Definition:
A liminal space is a location or moment that exists between two defined states—such as abandoned hallways, empty parking structures, late-night transit stations, or any place where normal human activity is absent. In folklore and paranormal culture, liminal spaces are considered thresholds where reality becomes thin, allowing unsettling feelings, ghostly phenomena, or symbolic transformations to occur. These spaces are neither here nor there, creating a sense of disorientation or quiet unease.
